Hayden Panettiere Claims Romance WithEx Brian Hickerson Was ‘Abusive’ AfterHe’s Arrested For Felony Assault

BREAKING NEWS

Hayden Panettiere‘s ex boyfriend Brian Hickerson, 31, was arrested in LA on Friday, HollywoodLife can confirm. “Brian Hickerson was arrested by LAPD West LA Division on July 17 for felony spousal assault,”a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department tells us. HollywoodLife also obtained the arrest report, which states Hickerson’s bail is set at $320,000.

Hayden, 30, tells HollywoodLife in a statement following Hickerson’s arrest: “I am coming forward with the truth about what happened to me with the hope that my story will empower others in abusive relationships to get the help they need and deserve. I am prepared to do my part to make sure this man never hurts anyone again,” the Nashville alum claims. “I’m grateful for my support system, which helped me find the courage to regain my voice and my life.”

Hayden’s attorney, Alan Jackson released the following statement to HollywoodLife: “After suffering for years as the victim of psychological, emotional and severe physical abuse, Hayden Panettiere has begun the process of taking back her life. Hayden has found the strength and courage to share the truth about her abuse and her abuser, and she intends to assist the prosecution to see that justice is served,” Jackson continued, adding about his client: “As a survivor, she recognizes that her arduous journey of healing has just begun.”

Hickerson’s latest arrest comes nearly five months after he was arrested on Valentine’s Day in Jackson, Wyoming. He was charged with domestic battery and interference with a cop, which are both misdemeanor charges in Wyoming. HollywoodLife obtained Hickerson’s mugshot at the time, and a representative from the Teton County Sheriff’s Office told us: “On Feb. 14, 2020, at approximately 2:30 in the morning, sheriff’s deputies were investigating a disturbance that involved a 30-year-old male and a 30-year-old female in Teton County, Wyoming. Through the course of that investigation the male half of that disturbance was arrested. His name is Brian Hickerson and he was arrested and charged with domestic battery and interfering with a police officer.”

As HollywoodLife previously reported, Brian was arrested back in May of 2019 on felony domestic violence charges after he allegedly got into a physical altercation with Hayden. Following an outing in Hollywood, the pair went back to her apartment where police were later called. Police confirmed Brian’s arrest to HollywoodLife at the time, but would not say if Hayden was the alleged victim. The case was later dismissed for not being able to secure a “material witness,” and Hayden and Brian later reconciled.

Hayden and Brian are believed to have started dating in July 2018 — around the same time the actress split from her then-fiance, Ukrainian heavyweight Wladimir Klitschko. The athlete is the father of Hayden’s 5-year-old daughter, Kaya.

Qatar Airways Launches A Global Private Jet Card Program Doug Gollan Doug GollanContributo

Qatar Executive, the private jet division of award-winning Qatar Airways, wants a bigger share of the fast-rebounding market of global private jet travelers.

Better known for its worldwide network of scheduled airline flights, spacious lounges at its Doha hub, and lavish Q-Suite business class, the company has been a significant player in the on-demand private jet charter market’s ultra-long-haul segment.

However, that’s changing. Its launch earlier this week of The Diamond Agreement puts it squarely into competition with Berkshire Hathaway’s NetJets and Vista Global Holdings’ VistaJet. Both offer programs that provide fliers one-way fixed rates with guaranteed availability.

That means, so long as you book a specified number of hours or days in advance, you have a set hourly rate. With ad hoc charters, each trip is priced individually.

The fixed one-way rates also mean you don’t have to pay repositioning costs. You only pay for occupied hours, the time you spend flying. On flights to remote corners of the world, the ferry flights can increase costs by as much as 50%.

Jet cards also typically offer service recovery. That means if the operator cancels the flight because of a mechanical or a pilot gets sick, it’s on your provider to find a replacement aircraft for you. With on-demand charter, the customer generally has to pay the difference, if there is a highest cost.

While VistaJet has the most global fixed-rate service area, NetJets offers a wide footprint as well, although its customers are mainly based in North America and Europe, with a smattering in the Middle East.

Mark Hardman, Qatar Executive’s acting executive vice president, says The Diamond Agreement is a tailored offering that can be tailored to each individual customer’s needs, although it offers basic tenets of most jet cards with fixed rates and guaranteed reservations.

The Diamond Agreement includes deicing, catering, and taxi time in your hourly rate. Pets and smoking inflight are permitted.

So how does The Diamond Agreement differ from what NetJets and VistaJet are selling?

Qatar Executive is purely targeting fliers looking for ultra-long-haul private jets. Its entry level Bombardier Global Express XRS and Gulfstream G500 have a range of over 5,000 nautical miles.

By contrast, NetJets offers everything from the Embraer Phenom 300, a best-selling light jet, up to Global 5000s and 6000s. While VistaJet is focused on globetrotters, its fleet includes the super midsize Bombardier Challenger 350.

The minimum flight time charged to Diamond Agreement members is four hours (NetJets doesn’t even have a minimum for certain aircraft) while VistaJet’s vary by type.

Hardman says as part of designing a program for you, it’s possible to have exemptions, however, clearly he is not targeting folks making lots of short hops. It is estimated 80% of private flights are under two hours.

The focus on transiting oceans and connecting continents is clear. Qatar Executive is launch customer for the upcoming Gulfstream G700, and its current flagship is the G650ER, which can fly nonstop for 15 hours.

With NetJets, to access its ultra-long-haul-fleet on a guaranteed basis, you have to buy a share or enter a lease, so a minimum of 50 flight hours per year and a commitment ranging from three to five years.

For VistaJet, its fixed rate Program also requires a three-year contract and at least 50 hours of flying per year.

Diamond Agreement customers only have to commit to a single 50-hours block. At the end of the year, they can take their unused balance and roll it into a renewal. Even better, at any time, for any reason, they can get a refund of their unused balance.

Hardman says Qatar Executive’s approach brings together the flexibility of ad hoc charter, where you only buy on a flight-to-flight basis, and the benefits of jet card and fractional ownership programs offering fixed rates and guaranteed availability.

He says his private jet division benefits from its parent’s global scope, providing worldwide offices and support. The Qatar Executive private jet fleet floats, meaning it moves around based on customer needs instead of returning to a base after each trip. In other words, you don’t have to be based in the Gulf region.

Hardman says Qatar Executive’s aircraft are frequent visitors to the U.S. and those of you who are looking for an international private jet solution are part of his target. Because none of its aircraft carry U.S. registration, the charter operator can’t fly you on domestic legs. That means, for most folks, The Diamond Agreement will be a second car in the driveway so to speak, something that’s not uncommon. About 70% of private aviation users have more than one solution.

In terms of ultra-long-range fleet, those aircraft with a range of over 5,000 nautical miles, NetJets (with 38 ultra-long-range private jets) and VistaJet (with 37) are much larger than Qatar Executive, currently with 16 ultra-long-range jets.

However, none of the trio are standing still.

Last July Qatar placed a billion dollar order with Gulfstream for 14 G650ERs and four G500s. VistaJet has options for 29 of Bombardier’s super long-range Global 7500s after taking delivery of its first late last year. NetJets, the largest private jet operator in the world, is expected to receive its first Global 7500 next year, part of an order with the Canadian OEM that included 50 of its various Global business jets with an option for 70 more.

Marvel's The Falcon and The Winter SoldierPremiere Officially Delayed

It was to be expected, but it still sucks: The Marvel and Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldierofficially won't make its August debut. The streaming service recently announced the list of new titles hitting the platform in August, and the Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie limited series was not among them. A source confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that the premiere has been delayed.

None of this is a surprise, of course; in March, production on the Marvel series was halted in Prague as a result of the spread of COVID-19, making the comic book show one of the first to shut down production amid the coronavirus pandemic. Then, in a video posted to YouTube for Muscle & Fitness on March 25, Stan revealed he didn't know when production would begin again.

"We were lucky to get far enough. We haven't finished. The plan is to go back whenever we can, whenever that might be, to finish," he said. "Whenever we can turn this thing around and people can get back together, we can pick back up, but I just don't know at this point."

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney+: Plot, Spoilers, Release Date, and More

The six-episode series still hasn't not returned to finish production, though hopefully that will change soon as the Czech Republic announced it would resume TV and film production back in May.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier picks up in the wake of the events of last year's Avengers: Endgame, which saw Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) pass on the iconic Captain America shield to Sam (Mackie). Although we don't know much about the plot of the series, we do know someone is attempting to restart the Super Soldier program, and Bucky (Stan) has recruited Zemo (Daniel Bruhl) to help stop it.

The series was written by Malcolm Spellman and directed by Kari Skogland. It also stars Emily VanCamp, who reprises her role as Peggy Carter's niece, Sharon Carter, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker, who, in the comics, is currently known as U.S. Agent, but before that, was known as Super-Patriot, who openly opposed Captain America. It'll be interesting to see if that's still the case.

Zoom just destroyed TikTok's download record

Apple's App Store has crowned a new quarterly app downloads king: video conferencing platform Zoom.
Apple's App Store has crowned a new quarterly app downloads king: video conferencing platform Zoom.

Move over TikTok, there’s a new mobile app king in town.

Zoom just blew away all mobile app download records with its iOS app.

The video-conferencing giant, which has seen exponential growth during the coronavirus pandemic, broke the record for the most App Store downloads in a single quarter. Zoom on iOS received almost 94 million downloads from April 1 to June 30, according to a Q2 data report from mobile analytics firm Sensor Tower

Zoom downloads came largely from India, where users installed the app 68 million times, and the U.S., with 41 million.

This astounding number blew the previous record holder, TikTok, out of the water. The video-sharing platform, a favorite among young Millennials and Gen Z, earned the record just the previous quarter with 67 million iOS downloads.

Both of these records are impressive on their own, as Sensor Tower points out that no non-game mobile app has ever surpassed 50 million in a quarter. This puts Zoom and TikTok in a league of their own. In fact, if Zoom hadn’t blasted past TikTok’s record, TikTok would have broken its own record. The app was downloaded nearly 71 million times in the App Store in Q2.

Counting mobile games, and Google Play and App Store downloads, Zoom now joins TikTok and Pokémon GO in an elite club. Those three are the only mobile apps to hit more than 300 million downloads in a single quarter.

Sensor Tower also found another shattered record. Overall, total worldwide app downloads reached an “all-time high” in Q2 with 37.8 billion downloads. Apple’s App Store accounted for 9.1 billion downloads, whereas Google Play made up 28.7 billion. That’s a lot of apps.

Also, for the first time, Google's apps surpassed Facebook's apps in total downloads in its own app store, Google Play.

The coronavirus pandemic has clearly made its mark on the mobile app industry. TikTok has become a major entertainment platform for young people (and not so young people!) looking for something to do while stuck inside, while Zoom is now a household name thanks to the fact that so many people are working from home.

    V.S. FASHION SHOW
    MODEL GOES DOWN!!
    AND ALESSANDRA RETIRE

22 This year's Victoria's Secret Fashion show was bittersweet because Alessandra Ambrosio took her final VS catwalk Sunday night in Shanghai.
Right before the gig, the 36-year-old announced she'd be hanging up her wings after a 17-year run. Still, the spotlight was, at least momentarily, stolen by Ming Xi who went down like a sack of wet cement on the runway.

Bella Hadid, Sara Sampaio, Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, Lily Aldridge also did their thing ... no falls though.

Lais Ribeiro got to rock the $2 million Fantasy Bra, while Harry Styles and Miguel performed. The show will air next week on CBS.

Be carefull of the kind of water. You drink, boil, before drinking to kill germs. Be aware.

Damn, the next iPhone is expected to be expensive
The next iPhone could be very, very expensive.
Sorry, everyone: We have some more bad news about the upcoming iPhone 8.
Remember how we said it was going to be super expensive, then changed our tune?
    Well ... about that ...
A new Goldman Sachs investors note obtained by Business Insider claims to have some new insight about how much the deluxe version of the flagship will cost — and if you were hoping to spend less than a grand for your fancy new OLED-screened iPhone, you're going to be disappointed.
The author of the note, analyst Simona Jankowski, expects the iPhone 8 will hit the market later this year at $999 and $1,099 for 128 GB 256 GB models, respectively.
Those sticker costs are a big jump from the current price points for the iPhone 7 Plus. The most expensive 256 GB model will run you $969, a full $130 less than what Jankowski expects the device we're calling the 8 will cost (before tax, of course).
The Goldman team told investors those extra costs are justified by the materials behind all the new features it expects will come with the device. The 5.8-inch OLED screen could tack on an extra $35, while 3D-sensing tech and advanced memory features might bump the cost up an extra $20 and between $16 and $29, respectively.
Jankowski said she believes Apple has settled on the final design of the device, complete with an A11 processor, a new means of biometric authentication, and a bezel-free display with no physical home button — all features we've heard about in previous projections and leaks.
The Goldman team expects Apple will also release new 7S and 7S Plus models, too, starting at $649 and $769, which conform to the current pricing for the 7 and 7 Plus.
That next-level pricing might not be an issue for Apple, however — the phone will likely fly off the shelves no matter what. The hype surrounding the iPhone 8 is so powerful that analysts are projecting it will kick off a "supercycle" of upgrades at its launch. That anticipation is potentially knocking off the company's sales cycle nearly a year ahead of its release, according to none other than CEO Tim Cook.
This is all speculation, of course. The Goldman note appears to have more solid research and analysis behind it than others recently brought to our attention, but until Apple officially announces the device — which we don't even know the official name of yet — nothing is set in stone
